Transgressive’s long been one of FACT’s favourite labels: they were the first to put out wax by many of the current indie circuit’s better bands (Mystery Jets, Young Knives, Foals) and their dedication to both collectable vinyl and quirky CD releases has always been admirable. In September they’ll be five. Happy birthday!

Transgressive will be celebrating with a series of London shows, including a Transgressive Takeover at the Roundhouse on July 23, featuring Graham Coxon and Esser. We’re probably more up for their series of September shows though:

Thursday, September 24 @ Heaven, LondonYoung Knives, Esser, Ox.Eagle.Lion.Man

Friday, September 25 @ Heaven, LondonFoals, So So Modern, Two Door Cinema Club

Saturday, September 26 @ Union Chapel, LondonJohnny Flynn, Jeremy Warmsley, Mechanical Bride, Dan Michaelson & The Coastguards

According to the folk behind the label, “more artists, special guest DJs, events and related releases are due to be announced in the coming weeks in the build-up to the week of shows, so stay tuned.
