The drone behemoth that is Stephen O’Malley and Greg Anderson’s SunnO))) will be making their first UK performance since the release of this year’s Monoliths and Dimensions and their only European performance of the summer at Birmingham’s Supersonic Festival.

They’ll be playing material from GrimmRobe Demos exclusively, with a set-up consisting of O’Malley, Anderson, two guitars, four Sunn fullstacks and four Ampeg bass stacks. Which is about as minimal as they get these days.

Also confirmed for Supersonic, which takes place from 24 – 26 July, are Japanese sludge legends Corrupted, kraut royalty Goblin, noise veteran Skullflower, Thorr’s Hammer, The Accused, Head of David, Scorn, Arbouretum, Kim Hiorthoy, Zu, Pram, Growing, Michael Flower and Chris Corsano and more.
