God, it’s taken about two years, but Annie‘s sophomore album, Don’t Stop, is finally due to see the light of day – on November 7 of this year.

The LP was supposed to come out on Island Records, and its tracklist was announced over a year ago. Then Annie and Island parted ways, and the album was temporarily shelved. It’s tracklist was jiggled around with a little bit, and a couple of low-key singles released via Richard X’s Black Melody label. Then we just sort of forgot about it.

Well, Annie has now gone back to her underground(ish) roots and decided to release Don’t Stop via Smalltown Supersound, a label based in her own Norway and home to the likes of Bjorn Torske, Tussle and The Whitest Boy Alive. The album itself will emerge pretty much unchanged, and features collaborations with Paul Epworth, Richard X, Timo Kaukolampi, Brian Higgins (Xenomania) and Alex Kapranos.

The above picture is a detail from the album cover.
