Shackleton will release a new nine-track 3×12" package entitled Three EPs on October 12, according to Resident Advisor

It’s not his first contribution to Zip’s Berlin-based minimal techno label: his sumptuous remix of Villalobos’s ‘Minimoonstar’ appeared on there last year. It’s a fitting link-up, at any rate – Shackleton’s sound has long been evolving away from "dubstep", if his brand of intense percussive psychedelia could ever have been described as such.

Speaking to RA over e-mail Shackleton had the following to say:

"I like Perlon’s approach generally. There’sno hype and the emphasis is on the music. I had a lot of tracks andasked Zip if he liked any of them. He said that he liked quite a few. Iwas pleased about that as I wasn’t too confident. He chose the ones heliked best and then I had a listen and then tweaked them a bit."

Explaining his decision to call the release Three EPs, he simply adds, "Album seems a bit over thetop and would do well to have a concept behind it. With this I justlike the tunes and hope that others will too."
