Devo have announced that they’ll be releasing deluxe re-issues of their albums Freedom of Choice (1978) and Q: Are We Not Men? A: We Are Devo (1980).

The deluxe versions of the albums, available as 2xCDs and limited edition coloured vinyl,  come courtesy of Warner. and will be available as double CDs and on limited coloured vinyl. There’s also a planned commemorative 7" of ‘Jocko Homo’/’Mongoloid" planned.

The band are currently working on a brand new alum, and are apparently looking for contemporay artists like LCD Soundsystem, Justice and Outkast to appear on the record.

In an interview with Billboard [via Exclaim], the band’s Mark Mothersbaugh said, "The new challenges… are interesting to us. With the business turned upside down like it’s been in the last couple years, we’re looking for ways to use new technology that wasn’t around when we did this the first time."
