Ireland’s DEAF (the Dublin Electronic Arts Festival) will return this year on Thursday October 22, and will run through to Saturday 31, promising its "most extensive programme to date, including films, gallery installations, workshops, live gigs and club events."

Over 150 events are included in the programme, but most of interest will be the music, which includes performances from Warp Records’ Plaid (performing a ‘live classics set’), Clark, Bibio and Tim Exile, British techno veteran Surgeon, Stones Throw boogie revivalist Dam Funk and other FACT favourites in Grouper, Mountains, Ulrich Schnauss, Soap & Skin, David Rodigan and Luke Slater’s Planetary Assault Systems.

Also on the bill are Aux 88, Hypnotic Brass Ensemble, Sunken Foal, DJ History’s Bill Brewster, Cristian Vogel, Andy Votel, Alexander Tucker, Ancient Methods, an All City label showcase, Detroit DJ Jus-Ed, Stones Throw sweetboy Mayer Hawthorne and heaps more. Oh, and just to remind you that yes, this is a festival, Beardyman will be popping up to annoy everyone with his mouth nonsense.
