Rolo Tomassi are recording their new album in LA with Diplo on board as producer.

The as-yet-untitled LP will be the follow-up to the band’s debut, Hysterics, which was recorded with Jason Sanderson in the rather less glamorous environs of Barnsley.

Diplo, of course, has previous production credits on big records by MIA, Santogold and Bonde Do Role and has remixed the likes of Kanye West and Daft Punk in recent years.

Not much more is known about the album at this stage, save for the fact that it will be released in March 2010 on Hassle Records in the UK and across Europe and will be followed by a tour. The band will also continue to run their 7” singles club through Hassle, which this year took in split releases with, among others, the charmingly monikered Cancer Bats.
