Is it just me, or is Four Tet getting really good again? He famously was great back in the day, then went a bit shit, but his last three singles: ‘Ringer’, his collaboration with Burial ‘Moth’/’Wolf Cub’, and now this, are all brilliant. ‘Love Cry’ is on a DFA disco tip, but with wailing diva vocals in the background and a bassy drop that would indicate he’s been listening to a lot of UK funky – which let’s face it, he probably is. B-Side ‘My Bells’ meanwhile is an eerie cacophony of jingles and jangles which sounds like the inside of Eno’s head might if he had a breakdown circa 81. More Like This Please.
