The Velvet Underground – New York Art is published by Rizzoli this month, and a limited number of 7″ vinyl recordings by The Velvet Underground have been made to accompany the premium-priced collectors edition of the book.

However, today – Tuesday 24 November – a very small number of these 7″s will be bundled with the standard £35 edition of the book, at a special signing by editor Johan Kugelberg and contributor Jon Savage at the Stand Out / Minus Zero record shop on Blenheim Crescent, off Portobello Road, London.

The signing takes place between 4.30-6.30pm, and the first few customers will get a free copy of this official 7″ record – which features previously unreleased material by The Velvet Underground – with the purchase of the book.

Only a 100 copies of the 7″ have been pressed for the world, and this afternoon is the only opportunity to get hold of a copy, unless you buy the collectors edition (which is also highly limited).
