The 2010 edition of Bloc Weekend takes place from March 12-14 this year at Butlins, Minehead.

The biggest names to be confirmed thus far are techno originator Derrick May and Warp stalwarts Autechre. The latter will be playing one of their invariably momentous live sets.

The one and only Grandmaster Flash will feature, along with mealy-mouthed alt-rap icons Anti-Pop Consortium and the mighty Salt-N-Pepa. Lindstrom, UK techno veteran Luke Slater (who released an album on Ostgut-Ton this year under the name Planetary Assault Systems) and Nathan Fake will also perform live, along with Flying Lotus and Surgeon.

Pinch will be showcasing his Subloaded night, with Kode9 b2b Martyn, Appleblim b2b Peverelist, Joker, Pinch b2b Distance, Blazey, Rhythm and Sound’s Mark Ernestus with Paul St Hilaire, T++ and Deuce (Ostgut-Ton’s Marcel Dettmann and Shed b2b).

London pirate radio institutions Rinse FM also travel north for a Rinse vs FWD>> showcase with Ms Dynamite, Wiley, Zinc, Geeneus, Boy Better Know, Roska b2b Scratcha DVA, Marcus Nasty, Spyro, Youngsta b2b N-Type, Chef and more.

Others on the bill include Detroit house bad-ass Omar-S, MJ Cole, Joy Orbison, Roots Manuva, Skream b2b Benga, Joris Voorn, DJ Rush, dBridge and Instra:mental, and Ellen Allien. In case you haven’t noticed, that’s a lot of good musicians.
