Format: Twenty Years of Boredom 7″
Internet Forever sound like the first girl you ever really had a crush on. Their combination of fuzzy lo-fi and knowing faux naiveté suggests they’re into some really, like, awesome bands, and that they’re probably more sexually experienced than they initially seem.
‘Cover the Walls’, the band’s new single for London label Twenty Years of Boredom is a joyful rush of wistful poetry, hormonal abandon and tattered Converse with a healthy dose of The Concretes’ ‘You Can’t Hurry Love’. Internet Forever are fun, they’re charming, but they’ll end up leaving you for an older guy and you’ll be heartbroken. Eventually you’ll realise that they were actually kind of corny, but you’ll remember them fondly for the rest of your life.
