A new series of monthly parties at secret locations in East London is set to kick off on March 6. It’s name? A Night With…

The concept of A Night With… is simple but refreshing; each party will be headlined by a particular DJ or DJ duo, who will play all night long, presenting a complete musical journey from start to finish and taking the opportunity to showcase the more unusual records in their collection along the way.

Kompakt’s Michael Mayer, surely one of the world’s most intuitive and consistently entertaining DJs, will be at the helm for the first A Night With.. outing. Mayer’s tastes are famously wide-ranging and discerning, so expect a good dose of pop, disco and underground oddness in amidst the kind of sultry, cutting edge house and techno he’s best known for.

This unmissable opening party will take place in an intimate warehouse in East London, part of an old leather factory, with a capacity of only 350. A Funktion1 soundsystem will be installed for the occasion.

A Night With… is the brainchild of seasoned promoters Derren Smart (formerly of T Bar) and Rob Star (Mulletover, The Star of Bethnal Green). “I decided to leave T Bar due to their movement in a new direction and the removal of the free entry policy,” explains Smart. “I wanted to be able to present new concepts and ideas without the restrictions that being responsible for one venue holds.”

Appearing at A Night With… over the coming months will be some of the biggest names in minimal house and techno, so look out for additional announcements and updates.
