The first line-up announcement for Bestival 2010 has just been made, with Dizzee Rascal, Hot Chip and LCD Soundsystem confirmed among the festival’s headliners.
Bestival will once again take place at Robin Hill Country Park on the Isle of Wight, on September 9-11. Other big names involved at this stage include The Flaming Lips, Gil Scott Heron, Simian Mobile Disco and Echo & The Bunnymen.
Electronic and dance music-wise, there’ll be live performances and DJ sets from the likes of Joy Orbison, Four Tet, Flying Lotus, Vitalic, Dixon, Gaslamp Killer, Ewan Pearson, Nathan Fake, Ramadanman, Chase & Status, SBTRKT, Untold, Seth Troxler and Gaslamp Killer.
Plenty of new talent has been secured for the festival, including Delphic, Ellie Goulding and Sisters of Transistors, and there are also a couple of crowd-pleasing veterans on board – anyone for a spot of Marc Almond or, er, Rolf Harris?
The Afterburner stage will return to Bestival for 2010, and there’s also the glitzy promise of ‘The Castle In The Sky Bonfire Extravaganza’ and two new fields: The Wishing Tree and Tomorrow’s World.
Tickets for the festival are available here; for more general information visit bestival.net.
