Theo Parrish this week releases two new mix CDs, Suggested Use Pt.1 and Suggested Use Pt, plus a collaborative EP with Billy Love, via his Sound Signature label.

We don’t have the tracklists for the Suggested Use CDs at present but we do know that the selection spans house, techno, jazz, boogie, disco, hip-hop, afro-funk and all the usual Theo proclivities, including contributions from Flying Lotus, Roy Ayers, The Headhunters, Charles Earland, Larry Heard, Gladys Knight, Patrice Rushen, 3 Chairs, Mike Dunn and Dam-Funk.

Melloghettomental is a limited edition, four-track, 2×12″ EP sung by Detroit soul singer Billy Love and produced by Parrish. “So I called Bill since we hadn’t recorded in a while,” says Parrish. “He came by and I started playing ideas for him and these four happened that day. Full length coming.”
