Primal Scream have added a second date of Screamadelica at the Olympia.
The Manchester band will be marking the 20 year anniversary of the Andrew Weatherall produced album by playing it in its entirety in a pair of shows at London’s Olympia.
The first scheduled show was November 27th; the second date added is the 26th.
Screamdelica was released in September 1991, and is generally considered one of the defining musical documents of early 90s Britain. Primal Scream have never performed some of the album’s songs live, while many have not been played for years. The band’s live line-up at the Olympia dates will feature gospel choir, brass section and vocalist Denise Johnson.
The band have promised that these Screamdelica shows will only happen once. Tickets are available at the Olympia’s Box Office (0871 2200 260) or online here.
