Simian Mobile Disco, the duo of James Ford and Jas Shaw, are launching a new 12″ label, Delicacies.

The imprint will be accompanied by a roving club night, Delicatessen, curated by SMD. Each track in the Delicacies series “will take the name of an exotic, and often bizarre, delicacy from around the world.”

First up is the SMD-produced double-header ‘Aspic’/’Nerve Salad’ which will available on vinyl in late April and digitally via Beatport shortly after. The next Delicatessen party will be at London’s Matter on the July 23, line-up TBA. SMD have also secured a New York residency for 2010 with underground party Fixed; dates for that will be revealed shortly
