The Blessings will release their first EP, Galaxy High, this month.
The Blessings is the pair of Dom Sum and Fine Art, both responsible for laying the foundations of Glasgow’s LuckyMe stable / club night / label / movement that features Hudson Mohawke, Rustie, Lunice and more in its ranks, and is a widely accepted influence on the current wave of underground hip-hop artists.
As well as running LuckyMe, Dom Sum has designed sleeves for All City, Planet Mu and Warp, while Fine Art runs a streetwear store and made his name as a scratch DJ.
Galaxy High features six tracks from the duo, and will be released on Nod Navigators, an offshoot of Amsterdam’s Kindred Spirits label which has released records by Dorian Concept and more in its time. Tracklist and artwork follow. You can hear the EP on the Blessings myspace.
