News broke today that U2 have been forced to postpone their North American tour due to a back injury to lead singer Bono [via BBC News].
Bono has been advised to recuperate for the next two months following surgery, which puts a dent in his plans to save the world, but at least gives him plenty of time to count his money and maybe take up making Airfix model planes or something.
As well as the sixteen US and Canadian shows U2 have postponed, they’re expected to scrap their headline appearance at this year’s Glastonbury Festival on June 25. Spokespeople for both U2 and the festival are yet to confirm this.
