Chillwave darlings Neon Indian are set to play Cargo on 2 September as part of a brief UK tour.

The outfit is fronted by Texan producer Alan Palomo, who first made a name for himself through his work with Ghosthustler and Vega.  Palomo will be backed by a live band comprising Ronald Gierhart on guitar, Jason Fairies on drums and Leanne Macomber on keyboards.

Neon Indian’s debut LP Psychic Dreams was released in the US on Lefse records in October last year. The album is set for a UK release on Palomo’s Static Tongues label on September 20, complete with new track ‘Sleep Paralysis’ and a number of remixes, including efforts by Toro Y Moi, The Antlers and Bibio.

Update: There’s now also an in-store at Rough Trade East on August 31.
