Soundcrash have added Rustie and Paul White to the live Dam-Funk gig that they’re putting on this September 4 at North London’s Koko.

Billed as Rustie’s first London live show, that’s definitely not the case, but it nonetheless marks one of the first chances to see one of the country’s most exciting electronic artists test out his live set-up on stage. Paul White hails from the same One Handed Music stable as Bullion, and can be trusted to bring a discerning, enlightening selection of hip-hip, psyche and more to Koko’s DJ booth.

Already announced support for the night includes live performances by Tokimonsta, the first lady of Flying Lotus’s Brainfeeder label, and Swiss hip-hop Dimlite, whose unique take on synth-led soul predates actually pre-dates the likes of FlyLo.

When headliner Dam-Funk played at Field Day it was with a full live band, but the press release for this night describes his live show as Funk “plugging in his arsenal of vintage synths and drum machines”, so who knows. It should be good regardless.

Tickets are £10 early bird, £15 advance and £20 on the door.
