Following the recent Kompilation er, compilation, Richie Hawtin will continue to have his back catalogue as Plastikman collected, this time on a colossal set titled Arkives.

Arkives will come in four formats, individually titled Reference, Analog, Digital and Collection. Reference is the biggest, an 11 disc box-set that features remastered versions of the six Plastikman albums to date, plus five CDs of rare and unreleased material – including Plastikman remixes of other artists, remixes of Plastikman (by Francois K, Chris & Cosey, Cliff Martinez and more), and a new Plastikman track called ‘Slinky’. It will also include a DVD, which features videos from Plastikman’s previous work, and footage from Plastikman at Glastonbury ’95 and Mutek ’03 [via RA].

If that’s not enough, you also get a digital download code for even more Plastikman material, as well as a 64 page book, part-written by Philip Sherburne, which details the impact that Hawtin has had on electronic music over the course of his career.

Arkives Analog will include six vinyl records, collecting “exclusive tracks and a limited edition poster, presented in a deluxe custom box”. Arkives Digital is a limited online-only amalgamation of the two, while Arkives Collection is billed as a “super-sized combination”.

Orders for the box sets will begin on October 10; Arkives is a made-to-order item.
