Following its enormously successful debut outing last year, the Magic Waves Festival returns to London on December 10-12.

A marathon celebration of all things electro and italo, Magic Waves 2010 is headlined by the one and only Arabian Prince – former NWA member and a solo performer of superhuman flamboyance. Also topping the bill are I-f, The Hague’s preeminent keeper of the WBMX flame, and The Hacker, whose First Album with Miss Kittin was ranked among FACT’s 100 best LPs of the 2000s, and Hasbeen vs Hasbeen (AKA Alden Tyrell and DJ Overdose) performing live.

The rest of the names on the bill are, broadly speaking, less famous, but will certainly be known to connoisseurs of electronic disco devilry. They include TLR, Rude 66 (live), Gatto Fritto, Shemale (live), Mark Du Mosch, Dynarec (live), Gesaffelstein (live), Fancy & Spook (live), Ali Renault (live), Cestrian (live), Fonteyn, Antoni Maiovvi (live), Meschi (live), Magnus Blomkvist, Brassica (lie), Tommy Walker 3 (live), Peter Mangalore, Bill Ambrose (live), Serious Lover (live), Chris Flatline, Andrew Ingram and Fred Bentos.

Phew. As you can see, what makes Magic Waves stand out – above and beyond the quality of its line-up – is its emphasis on live performance. And, with the intimate Corsica Studios as its chosen venue, the whole thing is sure to go off.

We’ve got a pair of free tickets for Magic Waves to give away; if you’d like to get your hands on ’em, e-mail your name and the words ‘Magic Waves’ to competitions@thevinylfactory.com. The winner will be notified on or before Thursday 9 December.
