UK production duo Instra:mental will release their debut album next April.

The partnership of Kid Drama and Al ‘Boddika’ Bleek, formed in 2000 with their focus on drum’n’bass, but have really come to light in the past two years, hosting the acclaimed Autonomic podcast series with dBridge [above right], and exploring house, electro, acid and more on labels like Apple Pips, Disfigured Dubs and Naked Lunch, as well as their own Nonplus+ imprint. Earlier this year, they – along with dBridge – curated an Autonomic Fabric CD.

The album, titled Resolution 653, will seemingly not contain any drum’n’bass – or at least, if it does, it’ll be pretty slow. “You can expect a wide range of styles”, say the pair [via XLR8R], “from 110bpm up to 135bpm. We just went with what we were feeling at the time, that’s all we’ve ever done in the studio.”

It’s due out on April 4, with other Nonplus+ releases from Actress, and, apparently, Loefah also scheduled for release in next year’s first quarter.
