Trip-hop icons and general national treasures Portishead have announced a batch of new festival appearances for 2011.

The unit, still in the process of writing their long, long awaited fourth album, will be travelling to Poland, Slovakia, Portugal and France this Summer, as well as hitting already announced dates in Germany, Spain and the UK. The full list of shows so far can be found below; Portishead’s website claims that more will be announced soon.

New Portishead dates:
Wed July 6th – Headlining Malta Festival in POZNAN, POLAND
Sat July 9th – Headlining Pohoda Festival in TRENCIN, SLOVAKIA
Fri July 15th – Superbock Superock Festival, MECO, PORTUGAL
Tues July 19th – Nimes Festival, NIMES, FRANCE

Sat June 18th – Southside, TUTTLINGEN, GERMANY
Sun July 17th – Benicassim Festival, nr VALENCIA, SPAIN
