Eric Copeland, founding member of noise favourites Black Dice, has a new solo album out.
The follow-up to 2009’s Alien in a Garbage Dump, Copeland’s new album finds him bringing out the friendly (some might even say pop) side of his and Black Dice’s music more than ever before, using his knack for hypnotic, spiraling rhythms to create a context that’s more danceable than it is disorientating. Altered Zones premiered a stream of the album this week; it’s out now on Danish label Escho.
