Swedish dream-pop duo Air France have returned with a new song, ‘It Feels Good to Be Around You’.

The pair came to light in 2006 with the release of On Trade Winds, a sublime EP for Sincerely Yours (home of jj, The Tough Alliance and more). They then followed it with a second EP, No Way Down in 2008, before Rough Trade signed both releases, combining the two as a full album.

Since then the group have been quiet, only releasing a digital single on Sincerely Yours in 2009. ‘It Feels Good to Be Around You’ is another digital single, available for free from the Sincerely Yours website and accompanied by the following blurb:

“i remember when i was supposed to do the page which says “a city is not a home..” and i suggested a line beneath the text to make it more elegant. after one and an half hour of trying back and forth with different lengths of the line joel [presumably Joel Karlsson, a member of the group] says – maybe it should be hand drawn? and maybe it could break in the centre like it was drawn by someone in great mental pain? and i was like – nigga wut?”

“just to make it clear why we had to wait for this. and why it was so fucking worth it.”
