Even by their usual high standards, the line-up for Spain’s Primavera Sound festival this year is looking incredibly impressive.

It’s hard to know where to start with a line-up that includes Bjork [above], Michael Gira, Beach House, Beirut, The Cure, Godflesh, Grimes, Jeff Mangum, Wilco, Hype Williams, Wolves in the Throne Room, Melvins, Forest Sword, Washed Out and the xx, but let’s just say that discerning pop and indie fans will have their work cut out for them trying to fit everything that they want to see into the festival’s three nights.

On top of that, some of the best hip-hop around is represented by A$AP Rocky, AraabMUZIK, Death Grips and Danny Brown, while dance music is more than catered for by a Numbers showcase with Jackmaster, Oneman, Deadboy, Spencer and Redinho, plus performances by Erol Alkan, Aeroplane, Rebolledo, Matias Aguayo, Scuba, Sbtrkt, The Field, Benga (live) and Rustie.

Throw in Demdike Stare, Harvey Milk, Dirty Three, Codeiene, Neon Indian and more, and you’re looking at one of 2012’s most envious collections of musicians. For more information and tickets, visit the Primavera homepage.
