Richie Hawtin took some stick for his first adventure into the Boiler Room, with some commentators suggesting that the minimal techno overlord’s set might have been a bit boring. Maybe that’s why he invited the Ustream session into his house last Christmas: on this set he DJs records rather than plays live (we think), and even plays some stuff that might surprise you, like Instra:mental’s ‘8’.

Also: we kind of miss the MC when he’s not there.
