Tony Williams – or to give him his full name, The World Famous Tony Williams – has released a new track with Kanye West.

‘Another You’ is taken from Williams’ debut record King Or The Fool, which saw release today. The track is a breezy and slinky number, over which Williams convincingly channels the spirit of Teddy Pendergrass. Kanye is on nimbler form than usual, ducking and weaving over BINK!’s luscious instrumental. There are also some endearingly juvenile moments: he kicks off his first verse by reciting the alphabet, and petulantly baits the haters with the phrase “ha ha ha – laugh it up”.

Williams has appeared on all of Kanye’s albums to date, and also popped up on Yeezy’s Grammy-winning ‘All Of The Lights’. Not an especially significant accolade, given that said track featured just about every contemporary singer with a pulse, but it’s good to see the two continuing their partnership.
