The Boiler Room are streaming Boddika’s upcoming contribution to the Skudge remix series.

The Swedish techno duo have such a pure, distilled sound that it’s always interesting to see where remixers take it. The latest in the series sees Boddika have a crack at the brilliant ‘Below’, with results that are pretty predictable, though no less gratifying for it.

As the title might suggest, the remix is pure warehouse acid, reminiscent of the recent Boddika/Joy O collaborations that’ve been doing the rounds. In keeping with the Skudge spirit, it’s entirely stripped of excess fat, leaving only what’s necessary to get necks snapping on the dancefloor. The track’s signature vocal loop doesn’t appear ‘til the halfway mark, all mudded up with distortion, and doesn’t stay long. The message is clear: it’s all about the 303.
