Swedish chanteuse Neneh Cherry, successful throughout the 1990s, is set to return to public view.
The singer has collaborated with Scandinavian jazz nuts The Thing on a new LP, titled The Cherry Thing. The LP features a glut of covers, including Madvillain’s ‘Accordion’, The Stooges’ ‘Dirt’ and Ornette Coleman’s ‘What Reason’. Among the more unlikely choices is a rework of Suicide’s ‘Dream Baby Dream’ – you can hear the twinkly version below.
The Cherry Thing will arrive in June on Smalltown.
