Danny Brown, Wiz Khalifa, A$AP Rocky and more covered on solo piano

Linked on Detroit rapper of the moment Danny Brown’s Twitter just now: a solo piano cover of Brown’s 2011 hit ‘Monopoly’.

Further investigation (well, clicking on the YouTube username) reveals that the cover is by Barthel Revere, a piano player from Chicago who’s also uploaded takes on A$AP Rocky’s ‘Peso’, Wiz Khalifa’s ‘She Never Been Two’ and more. Alright, it’s a little bit cheesy (or at least a bit Richard Cheese-y), but we’re suckers for this kind of thing in the right mood. Revere even has a mixtape of this stuff to download.

Treble Clef’s piano version of ‘Gheto Kyote’ is still the best, though. We’ve embedded some of Revere’s videos below.
