Following on from the news that Michael K. Williams (aka Omar from The Wire, who recently gifted us this delight) would be playing a ODB in a new film, there’s been some interesting news about his supporting cast.
We learned over the weekend that a number of the crew would be playing themselves. Ghostface Killah, RZA, Method Man (who also appeared in The Wire, incidentally) and Raekwon were all allegedly set to feature, with GZA sitting the shoot out.
According to Pitchfork, however, Raekwon has also now confirmed he won’t be appearing in the film. Dirty White Boy, directed by Joaquín Baca-Asay, will still feature the above other confirmed Clan members.
Raekwon might be camera-shy, but he’s certainly not a recluse: the rapper recently confirmed he’d laid down two tracks with ascendant rap-pup A$AP Rocky. , and may also be cooking up a collaborative album with Nas.
