Sex in the City’s Kim Cattrall is among the final additions to this year’s Antony Hegarty-curated Meltdown festival.
Cattrall will discuss the role of Shakespeare’s Cleopatra in Cleopatra: Not the Usual Passion, a talk with Janet Suzman and Southbank Artistic Director Jude Kelly, who portrayed Cleopatra in the Royal Shakespeare Company’s 1973 production and has also directed Cattrall in the past. In terms of music, Lou Reed has been added to the bill, as have Matmos, Hercules and Love Affair and Joan as Policewoman.
They join a cast that also features CocoRosie, William Basinski performing The Disintegration Loops and more. Meltdown takes place from August 1-12 at London’S Southbank Centre, for more information, click here.
