As we reported a while back, John Carpenter’s cult soundtrack to Escape From New York recently received the reissue treatment.

Released through The Death Waltz Recording Co., it features six Carpenter tracks that failed to make the original OST – alongside the familiar favourites, of course. You can stream the film’s title theme, via the label’s Soundcloud, below – a guaranteed nostalgia trip for Carpenter buffs, and a fine example of the man’s knack for an eldritch hook [thanks to Juno Plus for the heads up].
