My Bloody Valentine to make first Australian performance since 1992 at Melbourne ATP

Festival staples All Tomorrow’ Parties may have gone into liquidation, but the organisers promised that it wouldn’t affect their upcoming events.

True to their word, ATP have just announced an instalment of their I’ll Be Your Mirror series in Melbourne, Australia. Curated by local group The Drones, the event takes place on February 16 and 17 at the Westgate Entertainment Centre and Grand Star Reception, and the line-up features both the first ever Australian show by post-rock behemoth Godspeed You! Black Emperor, and the first Aus show since 1992 for shoegaze legends My Bloody Valentine.

That’s now all: festival goers will also experience live shows from the mighty Swans, industrial innovators Einstuerzende Neubauten, Thee Oh Sees, HTRK, Beasts of Bourbon, The Dead C and more [via Consequence of Sound].

Tickets are available now, priced at $250 plus booking fee for the whole weekend. For more information, head to the ATP website.
