The Toronto singer fuses R&B songcraft with du jour hip-hop production on PRESSURE.

The follow-up to last year’s ROJO, PRESSURE is heavy on the snare rolls and queasy basslines of trap-hop. While the sound is becoming inescapable, few artists have harnessed it in service of vocals as sultry as Jordan’s.

Produced by in-house collaborator KLSH, PRESSURE may lack the hooks of more broad-based R&B, but ‘Make Me Wanna’ and ‘Too Long’ have a seductive edge that should get the independent Jordan in the conversation. Stream the album below or download it.
