Jay-Z, Rihanna, Coldplay to perform at Paralympic Game’s Closing Ceremony in London

The friendly collaborators will play the London 2012 Paralympics Closing Ceremony on Sunday.

After the Olympic Closing Ceremony featured Pet Shop Boys, George Michael, the Spice Girls, Muse, Annie Lennox, and One Direction, the Paralympic Closing Ceremony will be similarly star-studded, if a bit more global.

Rather than another Anglophilic display of pop music, Coldplay’s Chris Martin has curated a playlist that includes some of the biggest names in pop, hip-hop, and rock. According to the Mirror, “Jay-Z and Chris Martin are close friends so he helped to get the rapper on board. They are putting together a spectacular set list – one likely to include a duet.”

Jay-Z and Rihanna are frequent collaborators, from Rihanna’s breakthrough smash ‘Umbrella’ to Blueprint 3 anthem ‘Run This Town.’ Chris Martin featured on ‘Beach Chair,’ off Hova’s Kingdom Come. Relive the “Rihanna Curse” of 2007 with the video for ‘Umbrella’ below.
