Animal Collective admirers will likely have already encountered ‘Crimson’

The band have been airing the track live for a minute now, and they rattled through a recorded version of it for KCRW back in September. As The Fader report, the track is now finally set to get a proper release, appearing as the B-side to the ‘Applesauce’ single.

BBC Radio 1’s resident bellower Zane Lowe premiered the track on his Radio 1 show, and a radio rip of the studio version is available below. It’s a lilting waltz number, led by chief yelper Avey Tare and offset by the sound of malfunctioning carnival rides.

‘Applesauce’/’Crimson’ will drop on November 11 as a digital download and 12″.
