This week saw the launch of Do Not Disturb.
A collaboration between W Hotels Worldwide and the enfants terrible of music media, The Boiler Room, the project promises to showcase the music scenes of London, Paris and New York through a series of “ultimate hotel after parties”.
The line-up for the London instalment was, frankly, preposterous, including back to back sets from Jackmaster and Loefah, JETS duo Jimmy Edgar and Machinedrum, and TEED and Friendly Fires. The crowning glory, though, was a head-to-head session from two undisputed darlings of the current UK underground: namely dubstep poster boy Skream and stellar new-school duo Disclosure.
