Nathan Fake – he of that coruscating FACT mix – has a new single on the boil.

Fake’s in fine fettle: recent album Steam Days is his strongest disc to date, and he’s currently supporting rave uncles Orbital on tour. Regular home Border Community are capitalising on their kid’s recent successes with a fresh single, bolstered by two new remixes that sound very promising indeed.

‘Paean’, plucked from Steam Days, will arrive as a 10″ release on Border Community next month. Remix support comes from super-exuberant house convert Lone, contributing an unusually downbeat but typically slick reinterpretation. GLUM boss Lukid, riding high off the back of deft new LP Lonely At The Top, contributes a second, lovingly scuffed edit. Fake himself rounds out the set with a short ‘Coda’ revision of the original track.

Paean is due on December 3. ‘Paean’ is below, as are Fake’s current tour dates. [via Juno Plus]
