Hardcore will never die – and it’ll try and eat your brains, too.

Scottish post-rockers Mogwai love a soundtrack: they famously scored 2006 documentary Zidane, and followed it this year with music for cycling flick Knock for Knock.

As Pitchfork report, Mogwai have been tapped up to soundtrack French zombie series Les Revenants. The band will issue the soundtrack on February 25 through their Rock Action Records imprint. A special 10″ version will see release on January 28. You’ll have to move quickly – only 2000 copies will be printed.

You can listen to the soundtrack here. The band were recently reconfigured by the likes of Justin Broadrick and Tim Hecker on remix LP A Wrenched Virile Lore.
