Nigel Godrich and co have spoken. 

Way back in the wilds of October 2012, we invited you, the public, to remix Ultraίsta’s ‘Bad Insect’, taken from their self-titled debut album. The offering which tickled the band’s fancy the most would then be properly mixed by Godrich himself. The winner would also receive their own free Soundcloud Pro account, a social media big-up from the band, and untold riches (well, two out of three isn’t bad). The remixes piled in, and the band have now spoken.

The victor is North London producer DC Sux. Currently resident at club night Open The Box, he’s been showcasing broken beat/ambient originals and remixes on his Soundcloud page for the best part of 18 months. His edit is a twinkling slice of future garage, pulled together using Nu Groove’s sound palette and a touch of Jamie xx to boot.
