The upcoming adaptation of Kill Your Friends has up until now been shrouded in secrecy, but this weekend the cast was finally revealed.

John Niven’s cult look at the British music industry in the Britpop era will start shooting in the next five weeks in London, and looks to star Warm Bodies’ Nicholas Hoult in the lead role as Steven Stelfox. He’ll be joined by Craig Roberts, Tom Riley, Georgia King, Jim Piddock, Joseph Mawle, James Corden and Edward Hogg.

Producer Gregor Cameron had the following to say about the choices: “I’m delighted to get this exceptionally sharp and funny script into production with such a brilliant director, cast and crew.

“Cool Britannia might just sound like a term to describe climate change now, but that era marked massive turning points in our history and culture, the repercussions of which we are still dealing with in every walk of life.

“We are excited to be exploring it with such loveable characters from the music industry who threw the party they thought would never end.” [via Music Week]
