The producer behind much of Beyoncé’s surprise album enlists the superstar for his mixtape.
Beyoncé has repaid Boots for producing most of her fifth album by appearing on his mellow ‘Dreams’, which will appear on his forthcoming mixtape. The song will also be sold to benefit Day One, which Boots describes as “the only organization in New York City solely devoted to the issue of teen dating violence.”
“I feel that protecting women from these horrible and unthinkable acts should take precedence in our society,” he writes on Facebook. “I feel passionate about this because if more women knew that safe places existed from the turmoil they experience, it could possibly prevent these situations from occurring or reoccurring.”
Listen to ‘Dreams’ below. Boots is readying a debut mixtape entitled WinterSpringSummerFall which will feature Kelela, Sia Furler, Shlohmo, Jeremih and more.
