Analogue wizard Etienne Jaumet returns with first album in five years

The French musician will follow up Night Music with another LP for Versatile Records

Entitled La Visite, the album is Etienne Jaumet’s first solo full-length since 2009’s Carl Craig-produced Night Music. Since then he has released three albums as one half of electro-pop duo Zombie Zombie, including an album of John Carpenter reinterpretations. Jaumet has also collaborated with Joakim and experimentalist Richard Pinhas in recent times.

La Visite will arrive on Versatile Records, also home to Zombie Zombie, I:Cube and the fantastic Acid Arab series. According to the label, La Visite is more dancefloor-focused than Jaumet’s last EP. Nevertheless, Versatile maintain that La Visite is a more introverted work than Night Music and “maybe a little more jazzy too.”

La Visite will be released by Versatile Records on 23 November.
