Entitled LEVEL, the installation is presented by Parisian design studio IF.

According to the studio, the light art installation “represents the dialogue between space and its limitations.” It was developed for Paris nightspot La Machine Du Moulin Rouge’s fifth anniversary.

LEVEL’s several screens display a frenetically-paced series of optical tricks and illusions, set to the music of shadowy electronic artist Trespur. The displays used in the installation were created by superimposing a transparent material onto a semi-reflective surface. As the lights move and change from any given position in the room, each viewer is treated to their own personal light show.
