The conference also features representatives from Arduino and littleBits.
Sónar has announced the line-up for Sónar+D, the sister conference of its annual Barcelona music festival exploring the relationship between creativity and technology.
Complementing the Sónar By Day festival which takes place on the same site are a number of interviews and talks that tie into the music programme. Holly Herndon will interviewed about her creative process and use of software, while Voices From The Lake will discuss their setup in a live version of RA’s Machine Love feature.
Editions Mego boss Peter Rehberg will also appear to mark 20 years of his label, while XL Recordings head Richard Russell will present a masterclass dissecting the work that went into three of the label’s tracks from the past few years.
As well as musicians, the conference will be host to a number of figures from the world of technology, including a talk by the co-founder of the open source Arduino platform David Cuartielles and a workshop featuring Jordi Borras, the lead designer at electronic module company littleBits.
Sónar+D takes place from 18-20 June, and also features representatives from Kickstarter and Pinterest, the annual Music Hack Day, a start-up contest and installations. For full details and tickets, check the Sonar+D website.
