The new analytics program helps artists find out where they have the most fans.

YouTube’s newest tool for their Youtube For Artists project will help artists see the cities where the most people are watching their videos. This means a band or musician could use those analytics to chart a tour through areas where they’ll get a wider (and likely warmer) reception.

The full features were broken down by TechCrunch in their interview with project manager David King. In addition to seeing which city they’re drawing the most attention, the tool will show what songs are the most popular, and can chart the use of a song across other videos (such as soundtrack usage).
