Young Thug and Birdman have been named in an indictment that alleges their involvement in a plot to kill Lil Wayne.

According to WSBTV reporter Mike Petchenik, the indictment alleges Cash Money boss Birdman and protégé Young Thug conspired with suspect Jimmy Winfrey to murder Wayne, who is embroiled in a financial dispute with the record label. Winfrey, who goes by the stage name PeeWee Roscoe, was arrested in connection with the shooting in May.

Petchenik reports that neither Young Thug or Birdman are charged in the indictment. Instead, it alleges a link between Winfrey and the pair. According to Petchenik, prosecutors are attempting to use Young Thug’s ‘Halftime’ video as evidence, claiming that the clip shows footage of Winfrey holding an assault rifle during the song, which mentions Lil Wayne.

According to WSBTV, the indictment was filed in June. It names Young Thug and Birdman as members of the Bloods street gang and alleges that Winfrey “carried out” Young Thug’s threats of violence.
